Como «D.K.» y como Gai Ben-Jamin, prestó servicio con El Morya y Kuthumi en sus empeños con Madame Blavatsky y la Sociedad Teosófica. Por su disposición a servir, llegó a ser conocido como «el Mensajero de los Maestros». Djwal Kul fue el discípulo principal de Kuthumi y se dice que vivió cerca de su instructor en el Tíbet. A finales del siglo XIX, Djwal Kul, El Morya y Kuthumi se ganaron la ascensión, y en la década de 1950 comenzaron a trabajar con el mensajero Mark L. Prophet y luego con la mensajera Elizabeth Clare Prophet para publicar su enseñanza a través de The Summit Lighthouse.
