The [[Sangha]] of the Buddha, the [[Essenes|Essene community]] at Qumran, and [[Pythagoras]]’ school at [[Crotona]] were among the more recent mystery schools. Other schools were located in the Himalayas, the Far East and Egypt, as well as in Europe and South America.
